RACE ASSIST EVENT SERVICES

Race Assist Event ServicesDuring the Spring and Summer Sessions, Young Medalists High Performance schedules RaceAssist support at select junior events in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States. At these events, YM Coaches provide additional support services for riders that will improve the overall bicycle racing experience. RaceAssist provides athletes with racing strategy and tactics, mechanical and logistical support, and other ancillary services critical to high performance so that Young Medalists High Performance riders can focus on the racing-not the distractions.

To keep the fees of the Young Medalists High Performance program as low as possible, RaceAssist event services is positioned as part of each program's bundle and is designed to support groups of athletes at a diverse number of racing events. At times during the racing season, RaceAssist sessions will supplant OnSite workouts when and where applicable.

Race AssistFor events that are not listed on the annual RaceAssist Calendar, individual athletes and groups of riders may contract with a YM Coach to accompany them to an event at the rates provided in "Additional Services."

At RaceAssist events, YM Coaches provide the following services to athletes:

  • Racing strategy and tactics
  • Mechanical support
  • Logistical support
  • Feeding and nutritional guidance
  • Other team manager/soigner responsibilities where applicable

NB! Groups of riders may pool resources for the Race Assist service.
