Athlete Performance Plans
EAS has the next killer APP!

EAS has revolutionized the art of training-program design with its proprietary Athlete Performance Plans (APP). All athletes working with an EAS Coaching Bundle are provided this proprietary training-management toul to help them reach their true potential.

The EAS APP is made up of these key components:

    Examples

Partial Sprinter's TCO Partial Sprinter's TCO
Advanced Strength Training Supplement Training Peaks Example
Road Ride Daily Training Peaks Handout Example
Lap Split Planner Lap Split Planner
  • Training Course Outlines (TCO). The TCO is a periodized long-term training plan and performance blueprint designed around the athlete’s Annual Racing Term. The TCO is developed with athlete input through an examination of the rider's performance history, racing experience, physiological test results, physical maturity, health factors, and personal goals.
The TCO is the foundation from which all training is developed and assessed. Athletes will have access to a client version of the TCO via a customized spreadsheet provided by their EAS Coach. Available to clients Spring 2010.
  • Session Overview and Performance Schedule (SOPS) with GoalChart. SOPS is a written quarterly summary with defined performance goals provided to the athlete at the start of each quarter. The GoalChart is a feedback mechanism that uses objective indices and subjective assessments for defining and managing the expected performance and the personal goals of the athlete. Available Spring 2010.
  • Phase Calendar. These are the monthly calendars that provide daily workouts, weekly microcycle summaries, athlete training logs, and other critical "need to know" training and racing information in an online "always-available" format. For 2010, EAS will use Training Peaks' web-based software to provide this service.
  • Protocols with Standardized EAS Glossary Handouts. Detailed descriptions of warm ups, core routines, exercise techniques, and technical-tactical orientation methods. Available Spring 2010.

Integrated Performance Management is the combination of the APP with the following supportive assessment tools to create an unmatched level of oversight available by the coach to the athlete:

  • Strategic planning with SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and STEP (Social, Technical, Economic, and Physical) analyses at the beginning of the Annual Racing Term and at each quarter. Available Spring 2010.
  • Athlete Performance Testing. The competent use of data provided by athlete's baseline and recurring performance testing for establishing training zones and evaluating program efficacy and future direction. These tests include VO2 max, Lactate Threshold, Wingate (anaerobic profile), absolute strength, sports performance, and more.
  • Wellness Monitor. A spreadsheet that logs the athlete's sleep patterns, bodyweight, morning HR, mood, and overall wellness for review by their Coach. Available Spring 2010.
